Extended life for two UK nuclear power plants

Paris (energate) - The two British nuclear power plants Heysham 1 and Hartlepool are to run two years longer than planned, namely until March 2026. EDF Energy announced that tests on the reactor cores had shown that the two reactors could continue to meet the regulatory standards beyond 2024.
