Stadtwerke Karlsruhe fends off hacker attack

Karlsruhe (energate) - Not every cyber attack on municipal utilities ends in the worst-case scenario: Stadtwerke Karlsruhe recently managed to fend off such an attack. A spokesperson for the company confirmed that they were able to fend off the attack thanks to "effective internal security measures". The analysis of the IT system with a positive outcome was triggered by a tip from the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI).
