Belgian government and Engie pave the way for nuclear power plant lifetime extension

Brussels (energate) - The Belgian government and the French energy company Engie have concluded a framework agreement on the extension of the operating lives of the two nuclear reactors Doel 4 and Tihange 3. A joint operating company is also envisaged for this purpose. The agreement provides for the two plants to be made operational again on 1 November 2026 after the planned end of 2025.
