Bonn (energate) - The Federal Network Agency is facing more complaints about price increases and instalment payments from energy customers. A total of 14,291 enquiries were received by the Bonn-based regulatory authority in the first half of the current year - many of them as a result of the significant price increases in the wake of the Ukraine war. 5,064 customers had questions about the conclusion, content and end of their energy contract, according to the "Consumer Radar". In second place was billing. Here the focus was on 1,434 enquiries and complaints about deadlines, but also about the content of the letters.
Problems with basic and substitute supply
Due to the splitting of the basic supply tariff, which many energy suppliers justified with the protection of their existing customers, there was also more need for advice. 775 enquiries reached the Federal Network Agency on the subject of basic and substitute supply, which was again regulated in the
EnWG at the end of June . The agency received over 500 enquiries each on the market master data register and EEG subsidies as well as on the composition of electricity and gas prices.
Despite more enquiries in the energy sector, annoyance with telephone numbers and calls remains the undisputed number 1 in the consumer radar. Almost 95,000 enquiries were received in Bonn. With 13,842, the number of enquiries about internet and telephony was lower than in the energy sector. Fourth place was taken by 8,921 questions on postal services. /mt
