Gazprom Germania to receive 9.8 billion euros

Berlin (energate) - The German Government wants to stabilise Gazprom Germania with a total of 9.8 billion euros in guarantees. This has emerged from a briefing by the federal government. It states that the Federal Ministry of Finance has given its approval for an unscheduled commitment of 5.4 billion euros. This is to cover a possible partial default on KfW loans. A further EUR 4.4 billion is to be secured by means of a guarantee.
