Münster/Hamburg (energate) - The Hamburg-based IoT company Digimondo and the Münster-based IT service provider Items want to jointly advance the expansion of the IoT platform "niota". Niota enables companies to collect and evaluate data independently of the transmission technology, Digimondo and Items said in a joint statement. This includes, among others, the Lorawan and NB-IoT systems, which are important for the energy supply industry. Collected data could then be implemented and evaluated in already existing target systems such as SAP. In this way, Niota enables utilities to create reliable forecasts from consumer data and to control power plants more efficiently. "Only if municipal utilities ensure the digitalisation of their infrastructure can they meet the legal requirements and achieve the necessary increases in efficiency," Digimondo CEO Christopher Rath said. The cooperation between Digimondo and Items has already existed for three years. Among other things, they developed the software IoT-ERP-Bridge (
energate reported), which supports utilities in data evaluation. /pf
