Städtische Werke Kassel helps Ukraine with reconstruction

Kassel (energate) - Städtische Werke Kassel donates technical equipment for the reconstruction of infrastructure in Ukraine. The company's grid company says it is providing eleven used but still fully functional transformers as well as four older, as yet unused medium-voltage switchgear. The donation is being handled by the German Society for International Cooperation. It coordinates the support with technical equipment and material for the country and its inhabitants. Trucks picked up the equipment on 2 June and are now taking it to eastern Ukraine, where heavy fighting is currently underway. Städtische Werke is calling on other energy supply companies to also get involved with relief supplies for Ukraine. /sd
