Brussels (energate) - The European Commission and Europe's largest electrolysis manufacturers have agreed on a partnership in a joint declaration . At the European Electrolyser Summit, they agreed on three key issues to accelerate the hydrogen ramp-up in the EU: First, the countries pledge to adapt regulatory frameworks to promote the production of clean technologies. For example, the EU Commission pledges to examine applications for state aid for hydrogen projects within six weeks. Manufacturers, on the other hand, are required to submit only projects that are in line with the climate goals and the objectives of the "RepowerEU" project. With this project, the EU Commission wants to reduce dependence on Russian natural gas. In addition, the Commission announced support programmes and innovation funds to secure access to financial resources for electrolyser manufacturers. Within the "European Clean Hydrogen Alliance", which has been in existence since 2020, an electrolyser partnership is also to be created to bring manufacturers and suppliers together within the alliance. /pf
